I started doing the 60 day challenge (turmeric and ACV probiotic dosing bottle) at the beginning of the year, and almost instantly felt full of energy. For some unbeknown reason I stopped doing the shots as I didn’t quite realise the amazing benefits they were having on me both physically and mentally – it’s all connected after afterall. When I stopped taking the shots I started getting very tired and consequently have become ill. Needless to say, I will be ordering another batch – I only wish I had tried it out sooner!

What is the 60-day challenge?

The best way to drink apple cider vinegar daily is our dosing bottle. We decided to start this challenge as a fun way to entice people to take their daily dose of wellness. Encouraging our community to have a 50ml shot of our ACV + turmeric with black pepper and honey every morning for (at least) 60-days!

why 60-days?

According to a study published in the European Journal of Social Psychology in 2009, it takes 18 to 254 days for a person to form a new habit. The conclusion of the study is that, on average, it takes at least 60 days for that new behaviour to become automatic.

How is apple cider vinegar made?

Apple cider vinegar is made by fermenting apples by adding yeast to them, creating an alcoholic substance. This substance then has bacteria added to it resulting in further fermentation.

The benefits of apple cider vinegar

There have been many studies on the benefits of apple cider vinegar throughout the years. Even Hippocrates himself used apple cider vinegar to treat wounds during the year 400 B.C.

Apple cider vinegar has been used to serve a range of purposes, from being used as a disinfectant to reducing inflammation and helping those who suffer from bloating etc.

Studies suggest that the acetic acid in ACV promoted weight loss. Acetic acid is a fatty acid that dissolves into hydrogen and acetate in your body it’s suggested that the acetate suppresses centres in the brain that controls your appetite. ACV has also been known to improve your metabolism, lower blood sugar and decrease your insulin levels.

Apple cider vinegar is also packed with antioxidants which are known to be the main fighter against damaging free radicals. It’s important to ensure that you have a balance of free radicals and antioxidants in your body to prevent oxidative stress. This is what can cause dementia, cardiovascular diseases, cancer, diabetes and ageing.

The benefits of turmeric and black pepper

When paired together, black pepper & turmeric will better the absorption of curcumin, a chemical compound produced by turmeric. Curcumin is often used to help manage many oxidative and inflammatory conditions, arthritic and anxiety. Also known to encourage recovery from exercise-induced inflammation and muscle soreness- so it’s perfect for our fitness community! The two ingredients together are also great for boosting digestion.
