What is apple cider vinegar?
Apple cider vinegar is the product of fermenting apple juice. Yeast is added to the apple juice to start the fermenting process and from this, alcohol is then made. The alcohol is turned into acetic acid- what is understood to be responsible for all of the health benefits.
The benefits of apple cider vinegar
There are many reasons why you may think to take apple cider vinegar, for example, for its antibacterial, anti-inflammatory or even its antioxidant properties.
Most people prefer to take apple cider vinegar in its most natural form as organic, raw and unpasteurised ACV, like Willy’s, is believed to contain more health benefits, plus our ACV has the live mother living in its vinegars!
Research suggests that ACV can manage sugar spikes and has also been known to encourage healthy weight loss.
It’s also great to consume to boost your overall mood and improve your general health and wellbeing. We recommend everyone get their daily dose of wellness by taking at least 25ml of ACV every day! As 95% of serotonin is found in the gut, it’s important to ensure that you’re not treating your gut badly and that you’re looking after its health.
Many people are put off taking apple cider vinegar because of its often sour taste. Dilute with water
If you’ve bought one of our unpasteurised vinegars, we recommend diluting it with water and even adding honey to it to sweeten it up. Most people like to mix 1-2tbsp of ACV with a small glass of water and drink it first thing in the morning.
A popular way of taking apple cider vinegar is in tea. Try mixing 2 tbsps of our ACV with 1 tbsp of honey, 2 tbsp of lemon juice and 12 oz of hot water. You may even choose to add in a little spice, such as cinnamon!
Apple cider vinegar salad dressing
