Our Ethos

Good for Your Gut. Good For The Planet.

We are on a mission to create a healthier world. Encouraging people to make better choices for themselves and the planet is at the heart of what we do. That’s why we’re committed to reducing our environmental impact to help create a more sustainable world.

Here are some of the things we’re doing to achieve this:

Organic & Sustainable Farming

It’s our duty to preserve the world’s natural resources and maintain a healthy soil microbiome. Healthy plants need healthy soil to thrive, and so does our planet! Healthy soil helps to trap excess carbon that would otherwise contribute to climate change.

– Our 300 year old Orchards has never been and never will be subjected to artificial fertilisers or chemicals.

Encouraging Biodiversity

Key to protecting the land for future generations is encouraging biodiversity (the variety of wild plant and animal life). Around 70% of the UK’s land is farmed, so it’s essential that we’re doing our part to keep the wildlife in our area happy. Some of the ways we’re doing this is:

– The farm is home to honeybees who pollinate the Apple trees, flowers and plants around the farm. They also produce the honey found in some of our products!

– We plant a wide variety of wild flowers and herbs in spring to attract lots of insects.

– The Orchards are home to many bird species that help us control pests.

Natural Ingredients

We continually strive to make our products greener, using as many natural ingredients as possible.

– Our range of Apple Cider Vinegars are made from 100% natural ingredients.

– We continuously review our existing recipes to see if any improvements can be made.

Reducing our Carbon Footprint

We’re actively working to reduce our CO2 footprint throughout our supply chain and production.

– Our manufacturing site is fully powered by solar energy.

– We source as much as we can from suppliers that are closer to home to reduce transport and therefore CO2 footprint.

Reuse, Recycle

We remain committed to reducing our waste and using recyclable or biodegradable materials in our products where possible.

– We pack all our products into aluminium cans or glass instead of plastic.

– We are switching to aluminium caps later in Q4 to further reduce plastic usage.

– Any waste pulp from making our Apple Cider Vinegar is sent to a neighbouring anaerobic digester which converts it into a natural fertiliser, ready to be spread back on the fields and orchards.
